Aims & Objectives
This course is designed for anyone who may need to provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill at work, it covers a large range of injuries and illnesses.
Content and Course Design
- Acting safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), basic life support and recovery position
- Treating an unconscious casualty (including seizure)
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor Injuries
- Preventing Cross infection, recording incidents, accident books and actions and the use of available equipment
- Sprains and Strains
- Spinal Injuries
- Chest Injuries
- Severe burns and scalds
- Eye Injuries
- Heart Attack
Ongoing practical and theory assessments are embedded within the course.
Scheduled throughout the year at TTA Atherton
