In conjunction with Lancashire Skills & Employment Hub, Transport Training Academy has been commissioned by the Department for Education to deliver Skills Bootcamp in HGV. Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life and with the aim to reskill residents of the county and fill vacancies with local employers. Skills Bootcamp are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer.

Are You Eligible for a Free Skills Bootcamp In HGV?

As with most government programmes, you will need to meet certain criteria to be eligible for one of these free courses. These include:

  • Being 19+ years old
  • Having a full UK Category B (car) driving licence
  • Being resident in England for 3 years
  • Being a resident of Lancashire
  • Being unemployed and job-seeking for less than 12 months, being employed/self-employed, or being a career changer/returner
